As part of Service to the community Rottingdean and Saltdean Lions hosted two Christmas lunches at the White Horse in Rottingdean for local Senior Citizens.  Over 70 people attended the two events which, judging by the comments received, were enjoyed by all.

President Ian Christie along with Father Christmas and Lion Andy Wavell attended Woodingdean Primary School to distribute books to the reception class.  This was part of the Lions Centennial Project of giving books to children in all the local schools.  Father Christmas had a great reception and from comments received afterwards the children were pleased to receive their books.

Many thanks to Longridge Avenue Co-op for their help & support to Rottingdean & Saltdean Lions. We received a cheque for £4,240.99 from the recent round of the Coop Community Fund. This money will be used to buy local schools' reception year children books they can keep.

Extratime, an organIsation that provides facilities for children and young people with disabilities and life limiting conditions.  They also received a further £100 as the beneficiary of our Charity of the Month draw in September.
